Lookup Woodland Busted Mugshots

Follow the chain of three offices and a Woodland busted mugshots search mostly takes care of itself. Woodland Police documents the arrest, the Yolo County Sheriff creates the jail booking record, and Yolo Superior Court holds the filed case and its result. Trouble starts when someone treats a single log as the full story, because each office only sees its own stage. When you need the final outcome, the court disposition is the sound source, so let the chain end there.

How Woodland Busted Arrests Work

Woodland is the Yolo County seat. Both the county jail and the Superior Court sit inside the city. Even so, no shared public record ties them together. The Woodland Police Department keeps its own municipal arrest reports. The Sheriff's Office runs intake, custody, and booking photos for Monroe Detention Center. The court holds filed charges, hearing entries, and outcomes.

The Census Bureau counted 61,032 residents on April 1, 2020. Any adult taken into county custody passes through Monroe Detention Center at 140A Tony Diaz Drive. That is the intake point for all of Yolo County. Its Woodland address does not make the jail part of WPD. A city police entry can sit in the books after the person walks free, and a booking can linger once an online log stops showing it.

Where Woodland Busted Mugshots Appear

Among Yolo's larger cities, Woodland gives searchers the most at the city level: WPD publishes a public arrest log you can search by date range. Official, yes. A booking-photo tool, no. The county offers no live, name-searchable roster with pictures either. So one search will not carry you through. Plan on separate channels for the arrest event, current custody, any photo an agency will release, and the court result.

Go to official sources first. The verified Yolo archive on Mugshots.com includes a Woodland locality link, though its visible years run from 2011 through 2016. That gap matters. Later case changes or relief simply will not appear there. The commercial sites come up short too: RecentlyBooked has no live Yolo feed, Busted Newspaper skips California entirely, Arrests.org leaves out Yolo, and Mugshots.zone has no working county page.

Woodland Police Arrest Log

The official Woodland Police Arrest Log shows every arrest WPD makes, at least in its public view. Pick a start date and an end date. Run the search and page through the results. No photo field appears. WPD promises no update schedule and lists no retention period online, so treat the log as a record of department activity, not a live custody tracker.

Read the scope the way it is written. It covers arrests made by Woodland Police. Full stop. It does not promise every arrest inside city limits, every admission at Monroe, or everyone held there now. YCSO arrests appear in a separate monthly publication, and other agencies keep their own reports. Someone cited or released may never touch county custody at all.

Does a Woodland log result include a mugshot? No. The public search view shows no photo field. Ask WPD for the police record, then request the jail booking photograph from YCSO as a separate item.

Note: A date-range result records a WPD arrest event, not a live statement that the named person remains at Monroe.

Find Woodland Busted Booking Records

A solid lookup starts with the clock and the agency. Use the city log to pin down a WPD event first. Then turn to county custody and booking records only if the adult actually entered the jail. For the wider view across Yolo County, the Yolo County busted mugshots hub carries the full county feed plus guidance on making requests.

  1. Search the WPD Arrest Log with a narrow start and end date. Compare name, date, and any event details.
  2. If another agency made the arrest, check that agency's record route. The YCSO monthly PDF only covers Sheriff's Office arrests.
  3. Call Monroe Records at 530-668-5245 or use California VINE for current or changing custody.
  4. Request the nonexempt booking sheet and jail booking photograph separately from YCSO. Give a full name, arrest date, and booking or case number if known.
  5. Use the Yolo Superior Court case search to follow filed charges and disposition.

Custody states differ. So do the tools. An adult just booked may be confirmed through Monroe or VINE. After release, a person can fade from custody lookups while the WPD log entry and the court case stick around. Anyone serving a qualifying state-prison sentence belongs in CDCR CIRIS instead. The county arrest log never substitutes for that state search.

Request Woodland Police Records

WPD's official records FAQ spells out the counter deal. Police reports cost $5 for up to 50 pages, and photo identification is required. The city's Public Records Request page adds a ten-day determination framework. Copies run $0.10 per page unless another fee applies. When a request's size is unclear, ask up front for electronic delivery and a cost estimate.

Name the record with precision. A WPD arrest or incident report goes to the city. Monroe intake, custody entries, or a jail booking photograph go to YCSO through its California Public Records Act route. Both agencies can redact or withhold protected investigative, victim, juvenile, medical, sealed, or security material. If only part of a record is exempt, ask for the segregable nonexempt portion anyway.

One catch sits in the California statute covering core adult arrest information. A booking photograph is not part of the automatic field list. That is why every request should name the photo as its own item. Release still depends on agency policy and applicable law.

Note: Woodland's response period is not a guaranteed delivery date, and YCSO handles the separate county jail photograph request.

Woodland Busted Weekly Reports

Want last week's Woodland busted reports? There's no rolling seven-day feed online. The Sheriff's Office posts the past week's arrest paperwork on a physical press board inside the Monroe Detention Center lobby, and the window slides forward as new reports come in. Only YCSO arrests make the board. Some items stay off it entirely when statutes or a sensitive investigation require that.

The monthly PDF has the same blind spot. It covers Sheriff's arrests only, listing the name, the arrest date and location, and the charge statute or warrant notation. Booking numbers, photos, bail, housing, release dates, and court dates are all missing. A Woodland Police arrest can slip through the cracks even when Monroe did the booking. For those, go to the WPD log first, then Monroe or VINE for custody.

Woodland County Booking Locations

Monroe Detention Center opened in 1988. It is the county's medium-to-maximum-security booking jail. A 2018 remodel added medical and mental-health units, a kitchen, a laundry, and a refreshed booking area. Capacity rose to 345. The population is a mix: people awaiting arraignment, people with pending cases, and people serving county sentences. One chokepoint handles every booking.

Leinberger Memorial Center sits nearby on the justice campus. Don't head there, though. Staffing vacancies mean the rebuilt facility holds no one. The name on the building suggests a second search path, but no second roster exists and no second intake runs there. Monroe stays the practical booking point countywide.

Woodland Busted Arrest News

The Woodland-based Daily Democrat Crime and Public Safety section pulls together crime, court, fire, and public-safety coverage. Its recurring Police Report feature summarizes material from Woodland Police. The paper says plainly that it skips some calls and arrests. Active investigations get withheld too. Expect generic police imagery on the blotter itself. Individual stories sometimes carry an agency-supplied photo instead.

Note: A Woodland news item can identify an event, but agency and court records establish the documented case path.

Treat the Police Report as a discovery tool. It is not a roster. It can't replace the WPD log or a full accounting of Woodland busted mugshots. The sensible chain runs from the news item back to the WPD log or report, then into county booking or custody records, and finally the court file. The Yolo County crime news page maps the other outlets and walks that story-to-record path.

The Sacramento Bee's Yolo section and the Davis Vanguard also track county cases. Each outlet picks different stories and frames them differently. Coverage timing varies widely. Check which agency supplied any image. Then follow the story as the case moves.

Verify Woodland Arrest Outcomes

After booking, YCSO shuttles people between the jail and the courthouse as needed. That handoff changes which record matters most. Police logs and jail files capture the arrest itself. The Yolo Superior Court record carries what the prosecutor actually filed and how the judge or jury resolved it.

Arraignment
The first court stage at which charges and plea rights are addressed.
Release
An end to the present jail stay, not an erasure of the arrest or case.
Disposition
The court's recorded outcome, including a dismissal, acquittal, plea, or conviction.
Booking photo
An identification image made during jail intake, subject to release rules.

Someone released from Monroe won't appear in a live custody search. The booking record can still be requested. The court case may still be open. If a qualifying sentence moved the person to state prison, search CDCR CIRIS. That tool is a state custody locator. It is not a fresh Woodland arrest feed, and its public results carry no photo field.
